Modernizing European Higher Music Education Through Improvisation

Patim Patam

Agustí Fernández |ESMUC

Each player has to play an interval that goes to the same note, one ascending and the other descending. In the second step, we add complexity with accents, dynamics and silences and each musician has to follow the other one, proposing and copying simultaneously.

With these exercises, you can develop real-time hearing, copying reactions, the ability to propose material, fixing a tempo and connecting with the other musician.
